After years of working as a researcher, higher education administrator, and process improvement champion, I wanted to have a more direct impact on the future of science across a broad spectrum of disciplines.  I felt a need to nurture youth, especially underrepresented minorities, in science and to expose them to science happening all around them!  I also needed to take an active part in applying my expertise to advancing science and technology around the world.  With the help of a wonderful group of team members from diverse backgrounds, the product that evolved is Cummings Science and Technology.
